The tasting will be hosted by Adrian Ceballos who will greet you with a cocktail on arrival. He will then take you through the ins and outs of top quality Tequila whilst you sample the range.

Tasting is accompanied by bread, olive oil and nibbles and is held in an informal style, so bring a friend and chill out while you learn.

Here are some interesting and less known facts to get you going:
Five Unusual Facts about Tequila
to keep you going until the tasting:

- Jose Cuervo was a real person - the first to commercialize and mass-market Tequila.

- Tequila was first drunk by the Aztecs around 1000 years ago.
They discovered it when a bolt of lightning hit an Agave plant and cooked it. They so enjoyed the sweet and alcoholic juice that they mastered the distilling process and called it Pulque.

- It takes 12 years for the Blue Agave plant to mature before it can be used to make Tequila.

- Tequila was used as a flu remedy during Mexico's flu epidemic of 1918. It didn't cure the flu, but patients felt more relaxed about being sick.

- Tequila can be turned into diamonds. A team of Mexican scientists found that when the heated vapour from 40% tequila blanco is deposited on a stainless steel or silicon substrate, diamond films form.

Note all our tastings are strictly R18. If you look under 25 you will be asked for valid ID.
