Tangleball, the Auckland Creativezone, is a self-funded incorporated society which provides tools and space for people to work on their hobbies. It operates in a non-profit fashion and has awesome social skill-sharing attributes.

Presenting a series of short free workshops:

10:00am
Arty-farty: Kicking off the day is a display of digital artwork, advice on getting canvas prints made from digital pictures, the video kaleidoscope and Waynes recently completed slit-drum, decorated with the Tangleball pokerwork machine. Pokerwork tutorial if interest expressed.

11:00am
The power of twisted string: Principles and techniques for making toy catapults.

11:00am - 1:00pm
TinkerCAD tutorial: Andrew is becoming a bit of a wiz with the online 3D design program TinkerCAD, he has many designs in their current World Cup, including one on the front page. Andrew will explain the basics of TinkerCAD and demonstrate how complex objects can be built up out of simple ones. Beginners welcome.

Lunchtime
Slow cooking with Cheng and Wayne: Nothing beats the winter blues than a hot meal and our resident chefs Cheng and Wayne will delight your tastebuds. Slow cooking can be delicious and convenient so come and learn.

2:00pm
Painting a canvas: Auckland artist Dave D'Audney will paint a scene while discussing different techniques, painting effects and subjects. If you have thought about giving painting a go, attend this tutorial.

2:30pm
Screen printing: How to get a design onto a t-shirt. Calvin may cover the basics with stencils and Brian may talk about photo-resist screens for producing greater detail.

3:00pm
Ed presents Mixit, a clone of the game Dixit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dixit_%28card_game%29

4:00pm
Tinyhouses, design and build: Ed is going to build a Tiny House and has taken the first step by purchasing the trailer platform to build his house upon. Hear his plans and about the research he has done in this exciting new venture into affordable homes.
