Taioreore The Creation Story – Māui, Izanagi & Izanami is a collision and amalgam of two indigenous art-forms by a group of Kapa Haka and Taiko artists.

Wa San Bon is a trio of professional Japanese drummers. Based in Tokyo, they are said to be three of the best taiko drummers in Japan.

The show combines the Maori and Japanese legends of the Creation of Earth. While ensuring that the performers maintain and protect their kaupapa and taonga, their mission is to propagate their arts and traditions to the wider audiences while inheriting and passing their traditions over to the next generation.

Through collaborating with other artists, the tradition is strengthened and in this way, each artist is able to prove that there are no boundaries to their art form.
