Quarry Arts Centre, 21 Selwyn Ave, Whangarei

The Summer Do Art School is the longest running mixed media art school in New Zealand and is proudly planned and hosted by the Quarry Arts Centre.

The Summer Do provides professional art courses lead by tutors who stand out in their field of practice. Within the Summer Do are up to ten 7, 4 and 3 days courses covering a variety of media and disciplines.

Participants are invited to join us by enrolling in a Summer Do course taking the opportunity to learn something new or perfect existing techniques in a stimulating fun encouraging environment.

The Summer Do also includes informal tutor talks, which are open to the public, the Summer Do Tutors Exhibition in the Yvonne Rust Gallery and an assortment of relaxed evening activities. The programme is to be confirmed and will be released on the Quarry website shortly.

Officially the Summer Do runs from 9am Sunday 5th January to 4.30 Saturday 11th January 2013, courses scheduled within that. Sunday 12th January is a half day available for farewells and pack up. The Quarry Arts Centre provides a inspirational creative environment just minutes from central Whangarei at 21 Selwyn Ave.

Please contact the Quarry Office if you have any questions about the Summer Do 2014. Call us on 09 438 1215 or email to admin@quarryarts.org. Courses are in the process of being locked in and confirmed details released - check our website for the latest news!
