It may be too late for this week's time out - there's a show in Auckland this Saturday August 2 - but may be of interest for the next week or so?

River's Edge band, led by Chris Rivers, is touring a show inspired by Bob Dylan's impending tour.

and has issued a challenge to other Dylan fans to prove that they are bigger fans than he is. His new album 'Cambridge Town' is his "thesis on Dylan" after he spent time in Cambridge UK immersing himself in Dylan's work.

He's also written a Dylan-inspired song marking the 33rd anniversary of the 1981 Springbok protest in Hamilton, 'The Whole World is Watching'. Hamilton was the only city, to stop a rugby game against the Springboks, during the 1981 tour.

Here are the dates for his Dylanesque "Always Beginning Tour" (a reference to Dylan's "Never Ending" tour.

Superturtle will be debuting new material; and Rivers & Mimi will be performing Dylan/Baez songs.
