  • 4 week course: $60.00

Make the best use of Adobe Photoshop to create professional imagery and graphics for home or work. This hands-on course will cover a range of graphic design applications using Photoshop tools specifically designed for the amateur graphic designer - from logos and business cards to invitations,
posters and more. Laptops will be provided, but bring your own if you have Adobe Photoshop.

Parnell Community Trust runs an exciting programme of Community Classes and Activities at Parnell Community Centre and in innercity Auckland. Our July – December 2014 programme is now online, with flyers available now from Parnell Community Centre, central Auckland libraries and other local outlets.

Fresh and exciting new activities and classes in 2014 include:
- ESOL: English for Citizenship and English IELTS Preparation
- Culinary Delights: Indian Masala Magic
- Creative Art, Craft & Design: Art & Craft for people with disabilities, Art History classes, Collagraph and Dry Point Printmaking and Makeup and Skincare Master Class.
- Photography & Technology: Digital Photography Crash Course and Android Smartphone
- Sustainable & Smart: Summer Dressmaking

On-going classes include our popular languages series – French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, New Zealand Sign Language and ESOL English for new New Zealanders; Pilates day and evening classes, Yoga, Digital Photography and Dancercise and many more classes in creative art, craft and design, culinary delights, culture, dance, ESOL / general English, healthy mind & body, languages, and technology.

Free Taster Classes and Travel Talks give would-be learners the chance to meet our tutors and trial classes in Chi Ball, New Zealand Sign Language and languages through Travel Talks on France, Latin America, Italy and Brazil.

Our social activities include bridge, mah jong, chess, seniors coffee and chat, walking group, film club, garden group, Scrabble, knitting group, U3A Parnell and Toastmasters Club. Annual membership for Parnell Community Centre social activities: One $10 membership fee, payable in January or on joining, covers all leisure activities in 2013 except Garden Group, U3A and Toastmasters. Join at any time. New members are always welcome.

Parnell Community Centre now has two bridge groups a week. New members are welcome to join Parnell St Johns Bridge Club (formerly St Johns Bridge Club, Remuera) on Monday nights from 7.30-10pm for a friendly game with exposure to competition Bridge, or play social Bridge with our long-standing Friday afternoon group.

Heritage Walks
We also offer a schedule of heritage walks - both guided walks and our self-guided podcast walks about central Auckland's historic suburbs.

Signing up for a class or activity is easy:
1. Enrol online at our website or
2. Complete an enrolment form (available online or within our printed programme) then email, post or
fax it to us; or
3. Come to the Parnell Community Centre office to enrol in person. (Cash, credit card, EFTPOS and cheque payments accepted.)
