Love your onesie? Want to break a Guinness World Record?

The global onesie phenomenon is hitting Auckland on Saturday 12 April as The Warehouse, Home of the Onesie, seeks to break the world record for the biggest gathering of onesie wearers.

From 12.30pm the ZM Black Thunders will be entertaining the crowd outside The Warehouse Royal Oak (100 Pah Road) and there will be loads of activities including a sausage sizzle, spot prizes like a Sony 40 inch TV and an Apple iPod, plus a special $5 discount off onesies on the day.

The official headcount of onesie wearers takes place at 1:30pm so make sure you're there to make history!

We'll be attempting to beat the unofficial record of 1,184 held by Ringwood School in Hampshire, UK who are waiting for official confirmation from Guinness World Records - however the current official Guinness World Record of 752 is held by Henry Allen Onesie Angels in Milton Keynes, UK.

The Warehouse stores in Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin will also be getting in on the action, each attempting to smash the existing world record title - and all for a good cause, with proceeds from optional donations going to one of the retailer’s major national community partners, The Parenting Place, who will be fundraising on-site.

To take part on the day, head to The Warehouse stores or visit our website for more information and to check out the huge range of onesies for the whole family with designs including novelty, superhero, licensed and the classic college look.
