hosted by Professor Piri Sciascia, Pro-Vice Chancellor – Māori, Victoria University of Wellington and Professor Donald Maurice, Associate Director NZSM with responses from conference keynote speakers : Dr Laurence Sherr (USA) and Michael Haas (UK)

Special guest: singer/songwriter Grace Brebner

Grace Brebner – Ngāpuhi and descendent of Treaty signatory Chief Maihi Eruera Patuone will perform Mother's Lament. Her participation in the conference is made possible through the generous support of Auckland Diocesan School for Girls Heritage Foundation - Arts Fund. She will be accompanied by NZSM staff and students:
Rebecca Steel (flute), Deborah Rawson (clarinet), Reuben Chin (saxophone), Brendan Agnew (trumpet), Elyse Dalabakis (viola), Paul Altomari (double bass), Renee Maurice (vocal backing), Hannah Neman (percussion), conducted by Vince Hardaker.

Members of Cantoris Choir will sing excerpts from Laurence Sherr’s Fugitive Footsteps and Richard Fuchs Vom Judischen Schicksal (previews of full performances to be given on Sunday 24th)

Full conference or single day registrations can be made online through Eventfinder.
These registrations will have allocated seating and associated catering included.

While this individual session is not ticketed, attendees who have not purchased a full or day registration for the conference should register (for a $0 'ticket') for catering purposes.
