This concert is Session 14 in the Recovering Forbidden Voices Conference, a conference of presentations and performances, hosted by NZSM and the History and German Programmes of Victoria University of Wellington.

Victims and Survivors programme:

Fugitive Footsteps for baritone and mixed chorus – Laurence Sherr (born 1953) performed by Donald Maurice – conductor; Kieran Rayner – baritone, Cantoris Choir,

Elegy and Vision – Laurence Sherr (born 1953) performed by Inbal Megiddo – cello

‘Abime des oiseaux’ (Abyss of birds) – 3rd mvt from the Quatuor pour la fin du temps (Quartet for the End of Time ) – Oliver Messiaen (1908-1992) performed by Deborah Rawson – solo clarinet

String Trio – Gideon Klein (1919-1945) performed by Donald Armstrong – violin, Andrew Thomson – viola, Heleen du Plessis – cello
