Check out the Balkan Gypsy brass extravaganza at the Museum of Wellington City & Sea's Third Thursday this August at 7pm.

Featuring the local talent of Niko Ne Zna- a nine-piece band formed in Wellington. The band have been described as "authentic and twisted gypsy goodness... Balkan time signatures, funky brass bass lines, exotic melodies, it's all good."- NZ Musician Magazine.

The line-up includes Frankie Curac (Soprano Saxophone), Ben Hunt (Trumpet), Daniel Windsor (Trumpet), Gareth Thompson Darling (Bass Trombone), Kaito Walley (Tenor Trombone), Simon Grove (Sousaphone), Darryn Sigley (Snare Drum), Dayle Jellyman (Bass Drum/ Tapan) and finally Nikkie Rich (Vocals and Percussion).

Third Thursday is a monthly event at the Museum of Wellington City & Sea that showcases Wellington’s history, people, taonga and culture. The Museum will be open from 10am-8.30pm and entry to the series is by koha.
