Wellington artist, Michel Tuffery MNZM with Flox, Director of the Auckland based ‘Haus of Flox’ come together in N8VLaB 2014 exhibition. Contemporaries in their own right, they are all engaged on the world stage as connectors for visual arts drawing from a wide Pacific view. Special invited guest artists include Kereama Taepu and Jeff Riwaka.

Thematically N8VLaB AK 2014 is conceptually based around Matariki (Pleiades) and accents both individual and distinctive collaborative artworks by Michel Tuffery and Flox. Collectively, N8VLaB AK 2014 presents new sculptural, woodblock prints and stencil graph artworks all paying homage to Matariki as a time of celebratory remembrance, planting and harvesting and of community coming together. This showing of contemporary artworks will appeal to established and new collectors as well as those looking for interesting works on paper and other luscious surfaces by major & emerging artists

Take the opportunity to meet the artists as they collaborate & create works between 11-2pm, Saturday 5th July in the gallery.
