Has Tony Robbins let you down? Did ‘The Secret’ ruin your life? The relentless pursuit of happiness will only make you miserable.

Meatatarian Yogi is an irreverent blend of self-help, high philosophy and lycra.

Sarah Harpur is multi award-winning comedian who has performed her ‘brilliantly bizarre’ comedy shows at the New Zealand, Adelaide, Dunedin and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. She is known for her love of writing brave, daring and honest comedy; as well as being hard working, passionate and talented.

Sarah has recently become a yoga teacher, hence becoming the very thing she made fun of whilst growing up on a farm in Dannevirke. What happens when you combine being a meat-loving comedian with being a yogi?

This show is about finding happiness by embracing all the shitty bits of life, failure, bad cars, ugly Facebook photos, dead dads and all. It’s about embracing our innate hypocrisy and not being afraid to do things you have previously made fun of.

Meatatarian Yogi is a guide to making friends with the voices inside of your head, even the ones that sound like Galadriel from Lord of the Rings. Embrace your inner bush-pig. Laugh at death and kick inner peace in the face.

Namaste!
