Hawaiian writer Kirby Wright is the November 2014 Earthskin Resident Scholar at the Muriwai Creative Retreat. He will be lecturing about the creative process, particularly about the importance of 'cross-training' in the various writing genres to get more 'mana' (divine power) into your writing. In addition, he will be discussing his latest project— a play set in Hawaii during the time of Captain James Cook.

This will be potluck Hawaiian-kine style, so bring a favorite dish to share!

From Auckland, take the NorthWestern motorway (H16) towards Helensville, at Waimauku take the Muriwai beach turn off, follow the road to Muriwai, Motutara Road .45 minute drive from Auckland.
