It's that time to start thinking IronKidz 2014. It’s the place to be.

The IronKidz Triathlon is all about participation. It's about getting out there, achieving a personal best and having a heap of fun.

The event is open to everyone aged between 7 and 15. While the emphasis is on having a go, there is a special category for elite triathletes looking for a serious competition.

To complete the event, competitors swim, then complete a bike ride, followed by a run. You can enter on your own - which means you swim, bike and run (in that order) - or as part of a team of three, which means you swim or bike or run. You are also able to enter as a team of two. If you enter as a team of two, one of you will do two of the three legs (swim, bike, run). Your choice!

Ironkidz also has a low-cost fun Splash and Dash for 5 to 7 year olds consisting of a paddle in Lake Taupo and a short run along the lakefront. Children do not need to be able to swim and parents can accompany their child if they wish. There are no medals for this event, however each child will receive a small memento of their participation.

This year it will be the responsibility of individual participants to have their bike and helmet checked and meet safety requirements prior to race day.

A special discounted Early Bird entry is available for those who enter before February 4.

Our famous Ironkidz T-shirts are also available and must be pre-ordered – they will not be sold at registration or on the day. $15 each.
