Join us for the first Wellington Writer's Room of the year as kiwi-born producer Helen Bowden (Matchbox Pictures) talks to producer Robin Laing about her experience developing high-end television drama in Australia. The discussion will delve into the development process from genesis to production, and how to find and make a story that will work both for the local network and for the international market.

Helen will draw on her breadth of experience as a producer including her latest Australian six-part miniseries, "Devil's Playground" (2014), tele-feature "Underground" (2012) - following Assange's early life, and Emmy-nominated eight-part series "The Slap" (2011).

Drinks 5.30pm, talk 6-7pm. Stay afterwards for a slice of Heaven Woodfire Pizza on us and a drink.

NZ-born Helen Bowden is a principal of Matchbox Pictures and founding partner. Helen's full bio here: http://www.matchboxpictures.com/our-team/development-scripted/
