This fascinating exhibition tells the story of the first ever dinosaur footprints to be discovered in New Zealand.

Previously a number of dinosaur bones had been found in the North Island, but these footprints, discovered in northwest Nelson, are the first indication that dinosaurs also roamed the South Island.

GNS Scientist Greg Brown discovered them in northwest Nelson in 2009, and now the footprints and this amazing story will be on show at The National Aquarium of New Zealand from Friday 24 October 2014 to Sunday 11 January 2015.

Visitors will also get to see replica dinosaur bones from earlier discoveries in New Zealand.

Entry to this exhibition is included with admission to the National Aquarium of New Zealand.

Brought to you by GNS Science and New Zealand Oil and Gas.
