Bay of Islands Walking Weekend - Cultural History Tour - Walk 1

Based in Russell, this short tour is rich in history and historical sites. A guided walk through town leads you to buildings of archeological significance: Christ Church (the oldest existing church in New Zealand today), Russell Museum and finishing at Pompallier Mission with option of Tour.

Friday 3rd - 12pm (noon)
Sat 4th 10am and 12pm

You must be at the Walking Weekend HQ (The Duke of Marlborough Tavern) 15 minutes before your walk starts for registration and briefing. A disclaimer will need to be signed prior to your first walk.

For those of you who love food!
“Food” is the Bay of Islands premier food festival, the culinary festival has a stellar line-up of chefs, restaurants, producers, wineries and breweries. Every half hour there will be cooking demonstrations from local culinary producers. And of course live music. Food is an open event so it’s open to everyone, walkers and non walkers, as long as you are hungry you are advised to attend! No entry charge.
