The ever popular Arts Village school holiday program is now open for enrolments. If you are a visitor to Rotorua, its a great way to have a day to yourselves (parents) whilst your children are wrapped up in one of many excellent activities on offer.

Tuesday April 22 - Abstract, Collage and Mosaic - with Paula Kerslake. Create an artwork using collage and paint, mosaic using paper tiles on your own piece of board.

Wednesday April 23 - Drums + Origami + Manga - Spend the morning doing origami and Taiko Drumming with the Japanese community tutors, then spend the afternoon with Geoffrey Cox, drawing in the style of Manga.

Thursday - April 24 - Sculpt Poly Clay - Geoffrey is back with a day of Polymer Clay sculpting. Make a minion and bake him until he is hard in the oven.

Monday - April 28 - Monster sewing for boys and girls - Design and sew a charming monster friend to take exploring ... No sewing skills necessary

Tuesday - April 29 - Colour Your World with Prints. Go crazy with Monoprints, block printing, screen printing, relief prints. Create your own amazing designs and make colour-filled art works on paper, clothing. Bring along items to print on and please wear old clothing.

Wednesday - April 30 - Light + Camera = Magic!
Learn about how light works by making a camera obscura, discover the magic of photography by taking and developing your own pinhole camera photos and decorate your T-shirt with sunshine and cyanotypes.

Thursday - May 1 - Plastic Chihuly! Make weird, wacky…wonderful plastic sculpture out of bottles, foil, tissue paper, paint and wire that can be hung indoors or outside, to mimic the style of glass artist, Dale Chihuly. Make your own individual work and a group sculpture that will look amazing on the Arts Village grounds.

Friday - May 2 - Make it Mexican - Monica De La Roche will help you celebrate Easter in a Mexican Way. Make yummy Horchatas & Fresh Taco's. And Alyssa will also get you making mexican candy skulls.

1:11 ratio. Suits 8-12 year olds. Quality artists as tutors. $25 per day, with $5 extra on Mexican day, and $7 extra for Polymer Clay day. Check our website for more details. You can pay online and enrol over email if that suits you better.
