Friday 1 November to Sunday 3 November

A feast of events to inspire and captivate. Literary heroes, poets, artists and photographers. Festival talks and discussions include Witi Ihimaera & John Barnett about putting NZ stories on the screen and in print, compelling and sometimes challenging stories that change our thinking. Also at the festival internationally published Emily Perkins plus writer Judith White & her daughter landscape designer Xanthe White.

New books & book launches:
Photographer Marti Freidlander with her new book Self Portrait Marti Friedlander with Hugo Manson.
Writer Bruce Ansley & acclaimed photographer Jane Ussher launch Coast a New Zealand Journey.

Gala Lunch at Mudbrick Restaurant:
Emily Perkins and Karl Maughan, talk about two creative lives in a marriage of words and paint.
John Barnett, chairman, South Pacific Pictures discusses New Zealand's stories Witi Ihimaera.
Performance with Kiri Eriwata & Stephen Matthews.

Festival Workshops to sharpen your skills:
An introduction to self publishing ebooks with Martin Taylor - digital specialist;
digital marketing communications workshop and workshops to to use and get the most out of your e-reader. Also a workshop combining music and words - singer songwriting and vocally communicating songs with Kiri Eriwata & Stephen Matthews.
