Hā: Winter’s Breath; The Fleeting Intensity of Life
7 December - 3 March 2014

Interdisciplinary artist and film-maker Vincent Ward explores the space between moving image and painting. Ward's cinematic artwork delves into transcendent states and seeks elusive ‘transformational moments’ that connect with the raw energy of the subconscious and resilience of the human psyche. His films are widely acclaimed for their painterly quality and some of his works draws upon the Academy Award winning motion painting aesthetic he envisioned for ‘What Dreams May Come’.

Hā Winter's Breath; The Fleeting Intensity of Life reflects Ward’s ongoing concerns with metamorphosis and human vulnerability, capturing the body floating, falling and ascending…
