Join us this Saturday for a special event: James King and Toby King in person discuss their art, their lives, and their current exhibition.

Check out the exhibition and meet two of Auckland's outstanding up and coming artists in person (plus don't forget the barbecue!) The Two Kings exhibition provides exciting new work from emerging artists Toby King and James King - no relation. Both artists produce art from a personal perspective that portrays their own experiences and transitions in life. They also appreciate that the viewer will seek their own meaning when addressing the work. James' abstract, mixed media images have evolved from larger pieces to smaller textural works on fabric connecting with the notion of renewal. Dominant themes are Maori motifs linking to his ancestry. The work also includes social commentary about the feminine and the masculine. Toby's imagery is informed by surrealism; he works predominantly with the figure and focuses on relationships and personal identity within his paintings.

Gallery Opens 10am
