Down the main street, past the waterfront, left at the post-office, and next to the salon, you'll find Gerald... the only watchmaker in town.

Like your typical small New Zealand township, anybody's business is everybody's business.

Gerald is a nervous wee man who takes a lot of pride in his watchmaking business. He purposely excludes himself from the town and he likes it that way!

When word gets out that Gerald's 30th birthday is just around the corner, and what's more, he is still single, it comes as no surprise that the whole town decide to get in on finding him a suitable lady friend for the big event. Caught up in a whirlwind of awkward first dates, while feeling judged and ridiculed by the entire town, poor old Gerald is forced to re-evaluate his way of life.

This two-woman comedy explores the fear and uncertainty that comes with change, no matter how inevitable.

After a successful season at the Basement in September 2012, Ticking Time Bomb is back for round two this year at the Auckland Fringe Festival.

This remarkable two-woman show is a devised piece starring Loren Mason and Caroline Muller, and directed by Trish Phelan. Together the girls bring your typical small town New Zealand folk to life, collectively playing 16 diverse and entertaining characters. From the dumpy shop assistant Sharon, to the bogan rugby playing courier guy Mitch, there is sure to be a character that everyone can relate to.

The actors use minimal costume and set, simply because there is no need when the magic of the show is derived from the way in which the actors use their bodies and voices to create and tell the story. Ticking Time Bomb is great for all ages and will captivate its audience from the very beginning with a comedic line up of characters progressing to a rather unexpected and climatic ending.
