The Star City 2 Surf is a fun event for the young and old, the serious and not so serious, individuals, corporate teams, schools and families. It is all about participation, team building, reaching personal goals and having fun!
Entry includes: Certificate & refreshment, live music, free kids entertainment, free entry into Ferrymead Hertiage Park on the day and the chance to win great prizes!
At 9am on Sunday March 24th, Todd Blackadder will start the 14km at Centennial Park, Pioneer Stadium. Participants will predominately follow the scenic Heathcote River to finish at the Ferrymead Playing Fields (opp Ferrymead Hertiage Park).
The Heart Foundation 6km starts 10am from Opawa School, merging with the main course also finishing at Ferrymead Playing Fields.
The finish area includes live music, free kids entertainment, food and drink vendors.
Growing in numbers since 1973 to well over 15,000 participants, The Star City 2 Surf has firmly established itself as an iconic event in Canterbury and the South Islands largest participation event.
2012 provided Canterbury residents an opportunity to come together to share in a great day of fun and achievement, with an exciting new route & great new finishing location proving very popular. It is our aim is to make 2013 even bigger and better!
