The Glasgow 2014 Queen's Baton Relay arrives in Dunedin.

From 2pm on Saturday 30 November, Dunedin will celebrate its Scottishness and the arrival of the Glasgow 2014 Queen’s Baton Relay on the Octagon Lawn.

2pm - Pipe band display and recitals
2.30pm - The Queen’s Baton will be welcomed into the Octagon, The Baton Song Competition winner will be announced

There will be entertainment during the afternoon. Featuring Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson who will perform as ambassadors for Scottish music/culture.

One of the most enigmatic acts to emerge from Scotland, these young musicians are not only vastly talented but have created a sound that is bursting with energy. Dubbed the new stars of Celtic music they have joined forces to create a pipe sound that pushes the boundaries.

Jarlath is three time All-Ireland Uillean Pipe Champion' and Ross is a nominee as Musician of the year at the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Folk awards.

If weather is inclement, events will be held at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum.
