MIT School of Performing Arts presents the year two end of year production “My First Ball”, adapted from Witi Ihimaera’s short story of the same name. Set in the late 70's, it follows the journey of Tuta Wharepapa, as he and his extended whanau, prepare for his unprecedented appearance at the prestigious Governor General’s ball.

This physical theater and dance collaboration is a fun, high energy exploration of narrative theater. It blends devised and scripted work, comedy and music to take a fresh look at the fish out of water theme from a New Zealand perspective.

$5 for adults and a gold coin donation for kids.

See the show on Saturday 23rd November at 11.30 am and 2pm as part of the Faculty of Creative Arts open day for a gold coin donation. There will also be other free performances as well as visual arts and creative writing workshops.

Book Tickets: anita.crisinel@manukau.ac.nz or 968 8000 ext 8434
