Join us for New Zealand's first muslim world forum

The Muslim World Forum is open to people with an interest in the issues relating to New Zealand's relationship with the Muslim world, and the New Zealand Muslim community.

The events of September 11, 2001 created a climate of suspicion and stereotyping of Muslims globally. While we have not encountered the extremely negative reactions that occurred in Europe and America, we have had some challenges of our own to contend with in New Zealand.

On the other hand, we also recognize that New Zealand's Muslims contribute significantly to our economy and provide a pathway for trade with the Muslim world.

The Office of Ethnic Affairs has worked with the Muslim community on the Building Bridges programme since 2005 to create better connections and meaningful collaboration between Muslims and non-Muslims in New Zealand.

The Muslim World Forum offers a great opportunity to hear new and wide-ranging perspectives on these critical issues. We invite you to participate in our lively discussion and debate.

Spaces are limited for this free forum so please register (http://conta.cc/HKmFea) before Monday 18th November.
