Learn some ancient skills and make a stunning handmade stool for your home…

- Learn bodging (green woodworking)—this is the art of making rustic furniture using fresh cut split wood. Before electricity and machinery, wood was worked with hand tools. Bodgers work with wet (fresh cut) wood with the sap still in it. This means it shaves easier than dry (seasoned) wood.
- Work with axe and wedges, draw knife and froe, to handcraft a rustic slab top stool.
- Select a slab and shape it to your design—rectangular, triangular, circular or random.
- Craft legs by shaving willow and attach to the stool top with a traditional mortice and tenon joint and hard wood wedge. There are no nails or screws used in making this rustic furniture.
- Experience a fun day out at Trinity Farm
- Groups of friends encouraged
- No experience necessary - this workshop is a good introduction to these skills.

Your tutor will be Warren Baillie of Endangered Crafts, who has been running workshops and courses since 1986, for corporates, adults and children.

What’s included?
- Tutoring & participation at the workshop
- Tea/coffee/juice and cookies on arrival
