Ten films from ten countries across South America as well as Cuba and Spain, showing every night from 6.30pm at Massey University's Albany campus from Monday, September 16. This sizzling selection is put together by embassies and consulates of the countries represented - Cuba, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay and Spain. Feast on Spanish-language comedy, drama, politics, romance and a road movie. This is the 12th year of the festival, and the first time it's showing at Massey Albany as part of its nationwide tour.

All films are subtitled, entry is free and parking is too.

Opening Night starts with a Cuban film 'Habana Station' (95mins, 2011, PG) - a view of everyday life in Cuba seen through the eyes of young student whose father is a wealthy jazz musician.

Opening Night reception hosted by Massey's Spanish Language unit: 6pm - 7pm, followed by film screening.
