Looking for a friendly intermediate local yoga class in the Birkenhead/Northcote Point area? Keep thinking you will practice yoga at home on your own, but never really find the time or the motivation?

If you want to develop your yoga practice at the intermediate level then you are in the right place! With four intermediate classes a week this is your perfect opportunity to enjoy and progress your yoga practice in a local, friendly, and supportive environment.

Great reasons to book Positive Balance Intermediate Yoga:

Perfect duration - Class is an hour and a quarter each week; long enough to work hard but short enough to fit into the busiest schedule.

Perfect location - Class is on Church Street, Northcote Point, lots of parking, easy to find, great heating in the winter. Many students walk to class!

Choice of times - Four intermediate courses a week: choose from either Mondays at 6pm and 7:15pm, Tuesdays at 5:45pm or Thursdays at 7pm. You can mix and match each week to suit your schedule.

Term commitments - I don’t do one-off classes. By committing to a term you commit to yourself the gift of relaxation, stretching and strength each week. Your commitment to yourself will see your yoga improve and you will feel the benefits throughout your mind and body.

Great environment - Lovely space, lovely students. Everyone is local, and everyone is at an intermediate level, so no waiting for beginners to catch up. We have more time for more asanas and a more effective pace, flow and rhythm to class.

Experienced teacher - I’ve been teaching here for over 7 years and I love seeing my students progress each week. Many of my intermediate students have been with me since 2005! I joyfully teach over 150 students a week.

Pure yoga - Based on the traditional style of Sivananda Yoga, our classes are a very pure form of yoga; no props, just your own bodyweight and the mat. A beautiful flowing blend of breathing, relaxation and asana work. It’s more flowing than Iyengar yoga, and less intensely physical and more varied than Ashtanga or Bikram yoga.

At the end of class you will feel challenged, that you have definitely worked your entire body, feeling energised, relaxed and revitalised.

Great value - It’s the best value yoga in Auckland! And the structure of the class environment means that you don’t just intend to practice your yoga, you really do have that dedicated time for yourself each week to enjoy it and challenge yourself.

Places are limited, and the intermediate courses are always very full. So book early so you don’t miss out!
