The Film Archive

Script to Screen and Ngā Aho Whakaari present a special event with internationally acclaimed Filipino director Auraeus Solito.

Solito's first feature film "The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros" (2005) screened at A-list festivals all over the world and won 15 international awards, including 3 awards at Berlinale in 2005, (The Teddy, International Jury Prize at the Kinderfest and a Special Mention from the Jury Prize at the Kinderfest).

His latest film "Busong" ("Palawan Fate") screened at Cannes' Directors' Fortnight in 2011. It went on to win the Merata Mita Award - the grand prize at National Geographic All Roads Film Festival in Washington D.C in 2012. It is the first film in what will be the Palawan Trilogy.

Join us for a Film Archive hosted discussion with Auraeus Solito, including clips from his latest feature film, Busong. Stay afterwards for a slice of pizza on us, and a drink.

See more about "Busong" on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/busong
