Oriana Kershaw and Kayla Collingwood, accompanied by Teresa de Vries, present a concert of opera and art song, with some Maori songs and Christmas carols thrown into the mix. Guest artists Dene Kershaw and Bethany Collingwood.

This concert is a fundraiser to help cover the attendance fees for the New Zealand Opera School.

Oriana Kershaw (dramatic soprano) is a past head girl of Karamu High School, and has just completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours under Dame Malvina Major. She was recently a finalist in the NZ Aria competition in Rotorua, and was the Sir Howard Morrison Vocal Scholarship recipient for 2013. She came third in the 2013 University of Waikato Aria Competition. Recent roles include the Second Lady in Mozart's "The Magic Flute", and Caroline in the premiere of Janet Jennings' "The Auction". She recently accompanied Dame Malvina Major on a masterclass tour in three centres in New Zealand.

Kayla Collingwood (lyric mezzo-soprano) is a past student of Napier Girls' High School, and has just completed her second year of a Bachelor of Music under Glenese Blake. She was recently the 2nd regional prizewinner for the Maori Song section of the NZ Aria competition in Rotorua, and won both the Napier Operatic Society Scholarship and the Somerset Smith Vocal Scholarship at the Easter Competitions in Napier. She was the winner of the 2012 University of Waikato Aria Competition. Recent roles include the Third Lady in Mozart's "The Magic Flute", and Mrs. Peterson in the premiere of Janet Jennings' "The Auction". She works regularly with the Te Awamutu-based "Opera Lovers", and is a member of the 2014 Chapman Tripp Opera Chorus.
