One-man band 'Sixtyniner' is a Voodoo Rhythms recording artist from Holland. Playing the Free House as part of his Weird Side of Country NZ tour.

Also playing are Melbourne/Auckland-based two-piece Fosset and Badger. Playing swamp-stomping, lap-steel licking, Johnny Cash flavoured rhythm 'n' blues.

About Sixtyniner:
Underground cartoon flash animator Sixtyniner does it on his own now - a one-man-band extravaganza! Rocking the bulbs out of the lamps, the beer out of your glass and the earwax out of your ears. Making you cry with the pitiful songs, laugh with the funny ones and blush with the dirty ones. Making you want to buy not one CD but two (so you always have a spare copy!). This is truly a lot of noise for a one-man-band. But it sounds good. (Rolling Stoned magazine, 2011)

Fosset and Badger have graced the NZ and Australian music scenes for the last ten years, spanning the dark alternative country highways right through to foot-stompin' blues. The band recently recorded a new album 'White Hawk' with Warren Maxwell (Fat Freddys Drop, Trinity Roots) at Maxwell's studio in Featherston. Album release date is mid 2013.

Fosset and Badger members are Reuben Collins (who currently resides in Auckland and plays in Faster Pussycat Kill Kill) and Warren Collins (who now lives in Melbourne) and is coming to NZ for two special shows including one at The Free House. Don't miss it!
