A tool shed from earth materials.

Come down to the Agropolis urban farm site and join in the shed-building workshop. We plan to construct a tool shed for the Agropolis project made primarily from earth materials using a range of different techniques.

Working with their lecturer, Dr Kerry Mulligan, CPIT School of Architectural Studies students have designed the shed, the majority of which will be constructed during the festival. Illustrating earth as a building material, the build will involve using adobe, rammed earth, straw-bale and cob – sustainable materials that are easily accessible. The public is invited to learn more at this hands-on workshop. Wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes and bring drinking water.

This project is presented by the CPIT School of Architectural Studies.
(This is a part of the FESTA 'Hands On' programme)
