Esplanade Day 2013, featuring Fuse Circus!
Esplanade Day is back in 2013! Victoria Esplanade will once again come alive with a fantastic mix of live entertainment, activities, food, culture, and family fun!
Esplanade Day will showcase a variety of community groups and local organisations, as well as local and national performers, bands, and dance groups. It is a great opportunity to learn and get involved with some of our local organisations and support our local talent, while enjoying a relaxing day in the park!
This year’s theme is “The Circus”, and will feature Fuse Circus’s Campground Chaos. This fantastic outdoor, family friendly show inspired by the classic Kiwi holiday has received rave reviews and will be touring the country this summer. Campground Chaos is a fast, funny and irreverent look at our very own Kiwi Culture, and is sure to provide plenty of entertainment for all ages!
Fuse will be performing four shows:
Friday 22 February - 12.30 p.m. Victoria Esplanade near Victoria Cafe - The Esplanade
Great for pre-schoolers and elderly. Free!
Saturday 23rd February: 8 pm, Victoria Esplanade near Victoria Café.
Bring your picnic and watch the show at dusk.
Sunday 24th February: (Esplanade Day) 11.30 am and 2.45 pm, near Victoria Café.
Show runs for approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
The talented team at Fuse will also be running workshops throughout the day, so come on down and learn some new party tricks!
There will be plenty of food to taste and stalls to browse at Esplanade Day, as well as endless entertainment for the kids - free bouncy castles, horse rides, amusements, face painting, balloons and much more!
So make sure you and your family get down to Esplanade Day and make the most of this exciting event.
