The first step to being CrossFit.

Our CrossFit Newbie programme is an 8 hour introduction course - held either over a weekend or during the evening - where you learn the basic CrossFit exercises and movements. Our trainers work with you to ensure the workouts are tailored to your individual current level of fitness and ability within the small training group.

During the sessions you will learn the correct technique for lifting a barbell and bodyweight exercises plus putting what you learn into a WOD.

Lifting heavy weights is not included in the CrossFit Newbie programme – this requires specialised instruction in technique and is covered in a separate Barbell Basics workshop – we run these each month. However, by the end of the weekend or evening sessions you will be ready to join into the regular Crossfit group training sessions and once you’ve completed the Barbell Workshop you will be on your way to using weights in your WODs!

It doesn’t matter what your current fitness level is, how old you are or what sort of sporting/activity background you have, all CrossFit exercises are adaptable and progressive.

To ensure that everyone in our regular CrossFit classes is given the best opportunity to train successfully, we require everyone to start with the CrossFit Newbie programme. Once completed, you can then become a member of CrossFit Power Station and continue with your CrossFit training.

Our CrossFit Newbie weekend in November IS:

Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th November 10:30am – 2:30pm

Or if these set programme times are unsuitable, talk to us about our Private Training option.
Just give us a call on 09 5353612 or send us an email and we’ll contact you.
