The Tatapouri Fishing Club Gisborne, More FM and the Sound in association with the Poverty Bay Blues Club proudly present the ‘1st Annual Gisborne Blues on the Harbour’ Blues Festival Friday 11th January.

The concert will be a day and night affair starting at 4pm headlined by legendary American blues act The Mofo Party Blues Band and renowned International Kiwi blues guitarist, Billy TK Jnr and his band the Groove Shakers fresh from a highly acclaimed Australian tour.

The two acts will headline a roster of artists from the UK and New Zealand in a schedule that will include UK Blues guitar master Lil Ian Goodsman and a raft of great local talent - 7 acts in total!

This festival is part of a nationwide series of events under 'The Great New Zealand Blues Tour umbrella'. Organizer Billy TK Jnr says ' This festival is a great chance for those folks who love the blues genre or who are even new to it to get out and shake their tail feather to awesome music that is getting harder to find - it's another good option as an alternative to reggae or hip hop which there is plenty of - this is really exciting and we are all thrilled to be doing this at such a great location as the Tata and Port Gisborne'

Don't miss out on your chance to rock out in beautiful Gisborne and enjoy the music and wonderful food the Tatapouri Fishing Club is famous for.

The 'Tata Fishing Club' will have tickets available for the public from this Friday and are also available from Eventfinda.

Tickets for the festival are only $25 for the day with kids free.
