In the ancient world the Autumn Equinox was one of the most important days of the year. It marked a time of change in the seasons and the tasks and lives of the people. It was the time of the Harvest Festival. To the druids it was known as Alban Elfed, Mabon in the Wiccan tradition.
In keeping with the ancient Celtic traditions we will be holding a special evening at Stonehenge Aotearoa. It begins with a procession into the Circle of Stones and an ancient sunset ceremony of the Autumn Equinox. Weather permitting we will see the Sun set on the Equinox Heel Stone in the west. After the ceremony there will be socializing, a shared meal, and Tales of teh Autumn Equinox from our Storyteller.
Bookins are esstntial.
