Korean Day

It is the first such occasion in Christchurch CBD since the earthquake.

This year, it will be held under the title of “Seeds of Hope’, reflecting not only the beginning of a new era dawning in Christchurch, but also the enriching and strengthening collaboration amongst all members of the Christchurch community, giving hope for the future.

The Korean Traditional Great March 9:45am from the Restart Mall /
Bridge of Remembrance to Cathedral Square.

We would be delighted if this festival can inspire all members of families living in Christchurch. We hope the everyone will enjoy all that is on offer and make the most of the special facilities and offerings that will be provided:

The opportunity to experience the culinary delight of Korean food tasting, and especially Kimchi making and many kinds of diverse Kimchi tasting by the Korean Cultural Centre. The wide variety of choices in various Korean cuisine from over 20 food stalls, should be a wonderful culinary experience.

There will be also be a range of children’s entertainment including face painting, costume party & contest and other cultural activities. Please tell your children to come and wear a fancy costume they love.
