Performers and Mentors Claire Baxter and Aaron Gilmore join forces in four workshops in 2012 to inspire performance and enhance skill base and creativity.

Claire Baxter, performing as professional dancer since 15 years old in the commercial and contemporary dance sector and Aaron Gilmore performing as a professional dancer since 15 years old in the ballroom, Latin and commercial dance sectors combine forces and share this skill base of dance, performance skills and industry experience in a series of workshops that teach you what is expected of you, what you need to know, and how to survive in the dance & entertainment industry.

Youth - 5-12yrs 24th March 11-4pm
Teen - Adult - 13-adult 25th March 11-4pm

Grooming for Performance
In this workshop you will learn...
- What you need in your dance toolbox - skill base, performance base
- Your physical toolbox - make up, shoes, styling - application of these
- Looking at posture, critique, real commitment to performance
- Back stage, on stage confidence
- Self management

You will learn a dance routine as if auditioning for a showcase.
Learn on and off stage skills
Gain critical insights to what the auditioner is looking for
Learn how to take critique and improve on what you know
Discover what you don't know and need to know as a performer
Gain confidence, have fun and connect to an active performance network
We will finish the one day workshop with a performance utilising all your new skills
