Tips, strategies and perspectives to help you teach your child from pre-schoolers to teens on how best to manage their angry feelings - from mild irritation or grumpy rudeness to explosive tantrums and rages! This straight talking, very practical workshop looks at what angry kids of all ages can be like, why managing them can be so hard for parents, what can be behind their anger and ways to teach them to take control of their own anger - so that it doesn't just control them. There will be time for questions too, and you'll learn to make a workable anger plan for your family. This workshop is based on Skylight's recently released handbook The Anger Toolbox, available from our bookshop.

Jude Thompson-Orr is an experienced counsellor who has a special interest in supporting children, teens and adults through times of change, trauma, loss and grief. Jude works with children in a primary school, represents Skylight as their counsellor in Auckland and has her own private practice. Living in a blended family, Jude is married with grown up children, and grandchildren.
