Fo Guang Shan

The Way of Life Photographic Exhibition tells the story of Fo Guang Shan New Zealand, recording the changes and touching moments of its history and development.

Founder of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order Venerable Master Hsing Yun, who has dedicated his whole life to the propagation of Humanistic Buddhism said, "Humanistic Buddhism encompasses the concepts of our existence, life and death and the way we live our lives."

The process of life and death is the form of Humanistic Buddhism, while the way we live our lives is the essence, the characteristic and the practice of Humanistic Buddhism. Thus, by integrating Buddhism into our daily life it is 'a way of life'.

Located in the South Pacific, Fo Guang Shan New Zealand continues to propagate the ideals of Humanistic Buddhism by working towards the goals of localisation and multiculturalism through education, culture, charity and cultivation.
