The Warren Brothers are a line-up of three friends who enjoy playing country music in fairly traditional style. Originally cobbled together to perform at the folk festival, they so enjoyed playing together they decided to take it further. Strong on vocals, with tight harmonies, this combo has been enthusiastically received wherever they have performed.

Slim (Warren Payne): Vocals, guitar, harmonicas, mandolin, slide guitar
Competent multi-instrumentalist, has been singing '50s/'60s country radio hits for years. Dedicated singer and a "front man" with a warm sense of humour.

Lofty (Dave Warren): Guitars, vocals, mandolin, upright bass
Plays both 6- & 12-string guitars, is a real hot bluegrass picker (member of the Tui Award winning band "Wires & Wood") and excellent in the tight harmony singing.

Curly (Alec Healy): Upright bass, vocals, 5-string banjo
Wonderful driving bass player, tasty Scruggs-style banjo picker and general clown. His totally infectious enthusiasm delights audiences every time. (Former/founding member of "Wires & Wood".)

The guest performance will be preceded by a variety of club singers in the first half. See the organisers if you'd like to sing or play.

All welcome.
