The 15th International Philosophy & Psychiatry Conference 'Culture & Mental Health' presents a free public lecture featuring Sir Mason Durie and Prof. Grant Gillett.

Professor Sir Mason Durie, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Māori and Pasifika) Massey University, NZ & Professor Grant Gillett Bioethics Centre, University of Otago, NZ.

Professor Gillett will speak about philosophical approaches to mind and mental health from the Western point of view. Professor Durie will then pick up the challenges in relating those ideas to Maori conceptions of the mind and mental health and its application to mental health promotion/prevention with a focus on recent innovations in New Zealand.
