The Migrating Kitchen celebrates cultural diversity in Aotearoa New Zealand and this year's exhibition in Palmerston North is showcasing the food, families and festivals of six local ethic communities – Filipino, Cook Islands, Russian, Bhutanese, French and Zimbabwean.

Visit the various ‘kitchens’ to learn something about the culture of each community, and join in the fun of weekend cooking demonstrations and other cultural events.

Enjoy a range of free events celebrating local communities. All events take place in the exhibition space on the first floor at Te Manawa unless specified.

The Bhutanese week begins on Saturday March 31st and at 2pm in the afternoon there is free food tasting and entertainment from the community.
