The power of mindfulness-based practices in health care, psychotherapy, education and business settings is all over the news these days. Over the past 30 years, scientific studies have confirmed the power of mindfulness in coping with stress, increasing immune function, enhancing psychological
hardiness, and strengthening a sense of coherence. Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) has led the way in developing and researching the healing power of mindfulness.

Learn about the approach of MBSR in accessing deep inner resources for healing, calming the mind, and returning to wholeness and unconditional well-being.

Janet Solyntjes, MA, has been a member of the Shambhala community since 1984 and is a senior Shambhala Training Director and Adjunct Professor at Naropa University.

For nearly a decade Janet has been offering Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses in residential retreat settings, business places, senior centres, and oncology clinics in the U.S. and internationally.

Janet and her husband, Jeff Price, are the founders of the Boulder-based Center for Courageous Living, committed to promoting the inherent goodness of individuals and groups through a variety of supportive services, programs, and retreats.
