'Eclectic' is the word that best sums up Tamlin's repertoire and musical approach. Their set-list is a mix of dance tunes and song from the British Isles to the Balkans, from the USA to New Zealand. As much world music as folk, you'll see them swapping a wide range of instruments, including cittern, accordian, Hummelchen & Galician pipes, whistles, tambourines, fiddle, dobro and guitar. Their approach is about not being confined to any particular style or genre. At the heart of it is driving rhythm and a lot of good fun.

Greg and Linda Whitcombe are the mainstays, having formed Tamlin 10 years ago. They've been there, done that and now they're back for another swing.

Greg can be relied on for a powerhouse performance on midi-accordian and cittern along with some superb singing. He'll also serve you up a fearsome dollop of wit and humour. Quite the raconteur is our Greg.

Linda leaves the jokes to him - she's all about delivering on fiddle. 'Linda's wild for the music' in the immortal words of Charlie Montgomery, another fiddler extraordinaire.

Jack Bramah is literally a Jack of all musical trades: he turns his hand to the fiddle, pipes, whistles, drums and percussion, guitar, plus sings in languages most of us could never get our tongues around. You're in for a treat with Jack.

Cameron Bennett, the most recent addition to the group, sings, provides guitar backing and also injects a touch of Americana through use of the dobro slide guitar.

So there you have it: an eclectic repertoire, an eclectic line-up of musicians who thoroughly enjoy themselves. They hope you do too.

Tamlin will be preceded by a variety of club singers in the first half. See the organisers if you'd like to sing or play.
