Stara Basn (When the Sun Was God) presents us with one of Poland’s oldest legends on film. This is a story from Poland’s prehistory pagan time. The story focuses on Popiel - an evil ruler that uses force unjustly on neighbours. The people unite and make an effort to overthrow him. Of course, there is a love story complete with magical pagan rituals and dance.
