The Scottish Interest Group is holding a research afternoon. Our guest speaker is Cathie MacLeod, who was born in Lewis, Outer Hebrides, but is a long-time resident of NZ. Cathie speaks fluent Gaelic, convened the Auckland Gaelic Society, contributes articles to 2 Lewis community magazines and belongs to the Clan MacLeod Society. Cathie's forbears are buried at the 14th century Church dedicated to St Columba at Shuilisiadar, and nineteen MacLeod chiefs are also buried there.

You are welcome to do your family reseach and hear Cathie speak, and we look forward to seeing you.
