Created by the Artistic Directors of Red Leap Theatre, the Schools' Trash to Fashion show will fuse art, fashion and performance on a high-octane catwalk that explodes with colour, movement and music.
The theme Past Fires, Future Light explores how pupils have learned from past eras, taken what is great from moments in history and transformed these into garments for today and the future. The show celebrates the talent of 134 finalists which were selected as the top designers in this year’s competition.
Reflecting and celebrating our own journey, Schools’ Trash to Fashion Awards is proudly a featured performance for the 10 year anniversary celebrations of Corban Estate Arts Centre. For details of anniversary celebrations visit www.ceac.org.nz.
Saturday night is the only opportunity for the public to see this remarkable event. Please note that the venue is a large shed - dress warmly, bring a cushion, and mature patrons may want to bring a blanket for their knees. No Photography, food or drink permitted inside the theatre.
