This festive season the Rotorua District Choir will entertain visitors with a special Christmas performance at Rotorua Museum.

Join us at the Museum for a family celebration of Christmas and carols. In addition to traditional choir pieces the show will also include sing-a-longs of some great Christmas favourites. There will be a special performance by the talented Family Pilaar, including violin, cello and piano.

The Rotorua District Choir, conducted by Ursula Schraa, was keen on “returning to the Towers” as their last Christmas performance was here over 30 years ago. At that time they were known as The Carter Chorale, and they performed at Tudor Towers (as Rotorua Museum was then known) regularly from the 1960s.

Earlier this year the Choir completed a hugely successful performance of Handel at Rotorua Museum.

Entry to Carols is by gold coin donation or by gifting a present to the Rotorua Museum Community Tree. All gifts and donations will be presented to the Waiariki Women’s Refuge before Christmas. (See our events page for more information on the Community Tree.)
